Chia seeds were consumed by my grand mother daily in some form, e.g., refreshing drinks, breakfast cereal, bread and desserts until she died at the age of  90. She was fit and active like a young athlete and walked several kilometres regularly. I learnt to eat chia seeds from my grand mother and have lived a very healthy and active life.
